post prom

Prom was a huge success for the girls. They looked so beautiful and had such a good time with their friends. It is hard to believe that prom is over after the hunt for dresses, shoes, makeup, hair stuff, nail stuff etc. I have to say, it was all worth it to see their smiles and hear their laughter.

The dessert trays were a hit. The kids didn't lack for food. The oldest had dinner at the Methodist church. One of their cooks volunteered to prepare the meal and the parents served. Good stuff. Might make a few of the Baptists in the crowd rethink where they attend on Sundays.....actual kitchen conversation! It was quite funny.

The younger daughter had plenty of heavy appetizers at the home of her date. His mom put out quite a spread of easy to eat finger foods and then hosted the entire crew for the after-prom.

I posted a ton of pictures on facebook for all of our family and friends across the country and even over the pond in England.  But this picture is the one that gave several of the folks quite a chuckle.  The oldest was to have a soccer match yesterday afternoon, but she decided a short nap on the pitch was in order. It was a good thing the other team didn't show up, someone might have tripped!
